Pre-coated aluminium coils are widely used for Aluminium Composite Materials(ACM), in China, more than 70% pre-coated coils are going to the ACM manufactures, though the share has been going down recently because of other applications are booming up quickly. Following is the advantages of application of pre-coated coils instead of in ACM manufacture comparing to spray coating:

1) Increase of productivity and yield: Coil-coating(CC) is much faster than spray coating;
2) Provide the possibility for consistent production for ACM;
3) Eliminate the color deviation from batch to batch;
4) Reduce the cost of material because of faster process and less paint use.

Of course, spray coating is still an important coating process beside CC, because some thick material and pre-shaped material can only be treated by spray coating.
